Youth unemployment in the UK officially tops 1million

"The jobless total for 16 to 24-year-olds hit a record high of 1.02 million in the quarter." - BBC News

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) released figures today that show youth unemployment is at 1.06 million. The numbers of unemployed are at a record high with a total unemployment rate of 8.3%.

With the announcement of these numbers, it's more important than ever to focus on the solutions and support available. Young Million is one of the many support efforts that has sprung up in the last year. We've seen hundreds of young people go through our workshops and leave feeling more confident about interacting with senior leaders, expressing their personal brand in person and on CVs and having developed key leadership and employability skills like team working and decision making.
